Marketing Assistant, San Diego, CA

RMS is looking for an enthusiastic, industrious Marketing Assistant to support marketing managers and senior management with various tasks. The primary focus of the marketing assistant will be to provide support on projects designed to maximize company profits, including the development of sales strategies and marketing campaigns. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Assistant will be a critical role for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.


Assist marketing manager and support the entire marketing team with marketing activities.
Help produce marketing literature and other materials to give to clients.
Provide support for different marketing events and exhibitions.
Coordinate creation of marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, brochures, mailers, and presentations.
Coordinate and manage interdepartmental meetings/events.
Implement social media plan and manage all social media accounts accordingly.
Track existing marketing campaigns to completion and report on results.
Work closely with other members of the marketing team by sharing ideas to improve marketing efforts.
Assist with promotional activities, host presentations, and help organize customer events.
Assist with sales presentations by gathering relevant resources including proposals, slide decks, videos, quotations, and other information as requested.
Upload marketing materials to Internet groups, social media sites, and online libraries.
Manage marketing inventory and swag orders.
Help maintain and manage the marketing department’s databases and documentation.
Serve as liaison between marketing department and third-party vendors.

A little more about you:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Prior work experience in administration, sales, or marketing is a plus.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Good organization skills.
Related job and internship experience.
Confident and calm under pressure
Self-motivated to complete tasks with little supervision.
Ability to handle multiple projects with varied timelines.
Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
